Non-Salary Budget (NSB)

The Non-Salary Budget (NSB) Programme of the School Education Department, Punjab provides school-specific funds to School Councils to cover essential recurrent costs and support student learning. By channeling financial resources directly to schools, the programme strengthens local accountability and empowers communities, head teachers, and School Councils to plan and manage funds based on real needs. To further improve utilization, the Department is building School Council capacity through policy orientation, awareness content, and digital tools so that NSB funds are used effectively to enhance teaching, learning, infrastructure upkeep, and the overall school environment.
